My Faith…..
Artist’s Note
This piece holds deep spiritual significance for me. I lost my mother to pancreatic cancer in 2013—a loss that reshaped my heart forever. She was the wife of a Southern Baptist minister and an extraordinary musician who filled our home with hymns of faith and hope. I was blessed to inherit her entire music collection, and this artwork was painted directly on one of her original sheets of music.
This particular piece was inspired by Jesus Himself. One night, at exactly 3 a.m., I was awakened with a clear prompting to create—and I truly felt His presence guiding my hand. It remains the only piece I have ever painted in the middle of the night, and also the fastest artwork I have ever completed. I know this moment was divinely led.
If you notice the red line within the piece, it represents the blood of Christ—the foundation of my faith, and the ultimate symbol of love, sacrifice, and redemption.
The number three also carries deep meaning in Scripture: it signifies divine completeness and perfection—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; Christ’s resurrection on the third day; and the triad of faith, hope, and love. In this artwork, that number’s significance reflects the divine timing, presence, and purpose behind its creation.
This is the one piece I will never sell. It remains in my personal collection, a sacred reminder that when God calls—even in the stillness of 3 a.m.—His message and timing are perfect.
